Sunday August 16; Sue drove and then Jimmy drove to 4 AM to Garmisch. In middle of night we stopped at a big fire in Brenner, Austria. I drove from Garmisch at 5 AM to home and we all headed for a nice warm bath and 12:15 PM mass. Italy was so fascinating and picturesque. I am so glad we didn’t miss it…

Bill and Sue spent Sunday together. The children had hamburgers at AYA and older ones to the show. Jimmy and I had dinner at officers’ club and home — put little ones to bed and were asleep ourselves by 8:15 PM!!
