Tuesday, April 14; Rather uneventful — visited Mary O. In morning — picked up Holly — had lunch officers club — back to base again to pick up youngsters at AYA. Feel like a bus driver. I am!! Jimmy stayed for German lessons and then had to go get car insurance at 8:00 PM. I had to take Kevin — Pat — Cynthia to base for catechism instructions. Msgr. Brought them home.

Wednesday, April 15; Washer still not fixed. Laundromat is $.75 a load. Did four loads and then put them through machine to get excess water out — another 80 Pfennigs. Nice sunshine again today. Had my hair done — charged five marks — 1 mark for wave set and 50 Pfennigs for spray. Each place I go charges more!! Do good work and are quick.

Friday, April 17; Susan and I drove to Tubingen. A beautiful — sunny day. So many picturesque sights along the way. Used up our film so quickly. The market Platz looked just as it does on postcards. The little old men and women are adorable. Could have stayed all day but had to pick up Holly at 11:30 AM and then to officers’ club for lunch. Kevin’s first date to Carnival Friday night — Donna Glauser.
