the autobahn there. A really nice trip. Saw a couple of storks in their big nests on the chimney top. Very weird and funny to see. Got home at 7:00 PM and ate at officers’ club then home to our brood
Tuesday, May 19; Black Tuesday — all went wrong —
Saturday, May 23; Last day of catechism. Jimmy to Stuttgart with Jack to look for tarp — me to the hairdresser. Jimmy help Jack put in car radio and I baked and cleaned.
Visit with Onweilers in the evening. Theresa went to sub teen cook out and dance at AYA and danced 40 dances with the same boy!!
No more German measles YET.
Sunday, May 24; Mass 9:45 AM – breakfast at the officers’ club. Lots of fun as usual and a beautiful day again!! Sue went riding with Bill and I took youngsters to pool while Jimmy worked on expense accounts. Pool is $.10 for children (40 pf) and $.20 for adults. Three nice pools — diving boards and platforms, water slide — playground equipment — and acres of beautiful grass and hills and trees. Just lovely. Had dinner at officers’ club — family buffet. Very good. Took younger children home to bed and older ones played baseball again with the Stuarts and Glausers. Discovered a free miniature golf course for IBMers.
