Week before (July) we had gone to Ulm with Jack. Was quite disappointed in the cathedral. The spirals are pretty but it is not Catholic so the inside was nothing. Saw some other beauties.

Sunday, we had dinner at Jack’s and it was delicious!! (Sweet and sour pork) We went to the base to show afterwards. “Sunday in New York” — a panic

Sunday, August 2; Sergio came a week before our vacation. Arrived August 2. We met him at train. He stayed in Boblingen but we or he must have changed. The whole week was a misery — especially for Sue who was in charge Thursday. I drove him and also John Bier and Ray to Hohenzollern castle. We had a nice afternoon. Sergio really didn’t seem too interested. At this point I couldn’t have cared less!! We dumped him at his hotel. Ray and John opened up a AYA kitchen and fix us all hamburgers. Yum-Yum.
