Monday-Sunday

May 11-17, 1964

Monday, May 11; My memory fails me and will have to again skip another week.

We went to Calw (Black Forest) and got lederhosen for Jim K and had lunch. The usual. Have lost all hopes of fabulous food here. Pick up children in AYA and was such a beautiful day that we hiked there from home and back. There are so many paths here. Jimmy and I went to the show at army base. Very good (Many Rivers to Cross).

Cynthia came down with German measles.

Sunday, May 17; Sunday – 9:45 AM mass — 10:45 AM breakfast. Sue took off with Bill — Jamie had to help serve 12:15 PM mass at Patch and after that took them to the show. Afterwards (Jimmy played ball with Kevin and Pat in between) we drove back to Panzer and took a hike in the woods. The German ladies were in high heels and the men in suits. Was a beautiful walk. The woods are gorgeous and full of paths. Jimmy and I went to Stuttgart dinner — very nice.
